So I sit here, wanting to write. I have been talking all day. It’s really more than some tittle-tattle, but when you have to hear yourself yap every single day it becomes, well… boring.
I bore myself. Isn’t that miserable?
(cursor blinks… blinks some more… ugh!)
Some new old things lately:
- Looking forward to Christmas. I know I’m 30, but I haven’t outgrown the holiday. Going somewhere with my meema dear. Yey!
- new old crush: GRANT HILL. yep. the nba player. he’s the cutest.
- Thanks to my niece, have a new favorite song: Mika’s Happy Ending. If she learns about this, we might have to talk about the terms of loaning our favorite songs to each other. I can’t decide whether it is a happy or a sad song. I like it. And I can sing along to it. So, good times.
- I have 2 brand new pimples on my face. They’re big and painful and all. And I’m 30, so a little embarrassing to have, too. But you know what they say: things start to undo themselves when you let them be. Really, somebody did say that. I don’t remember who.
- New old word of the week: FEELINGera. Meaning: self-important. Beats the spirit out of KAPAL, I think.
- New corny funny story: my sweet little nephew trying to beat his kuya in making sumbong. He supposedly goes (earnest enthusiasm and concern all over his face), “Tita, Tita! Sabi ni Ate Nida, CELLOPHANE ka daw!” The boy meant to say plastic, or two-faced. The things that kids say…
- New word I tend to say in place of ‘yuck’: NASTY. I can’t remember why or how it came to be. Does it even matter?
I knew I wasn’t really going anywhere meaningful here…
